Harlequin’s complete romance ending is still listed as planned. This guide checks his current story role and release status against the official game page and developer FAQ, last verified on October 19, 2026.
Who Is Harlequin in the Current Story?
The official synopsis introduces Harlequin as Pierrot’s seductive stage rival. He joins the dangerous competition for the café-worker protagonist. His role is part of the playable premise; a separately completed romance route is a different release milestone.
The game is intended for ages 18+ and includes coercion, violence, kidnapping, and other disturbing themes. Flirtation and a character’s charm should not be treated as proof that a choice is safe.
Can You Lock and Complete His Route?
The developer plans a Harlequin romance ending, alongside Pierrot’s romance ending, a non-romance protagonist ending, and a shared romance ending. The script remains in development and those plans can change.
Neither linked official page gives a completed Harlequin choice sequence, an affection threshold, or a final route-lock checkpoint for v0.2. This guide therefore does not claim that choosing bold or aggressive answers guarantees a Harlequin ending.
Does Choosing Both Characters Ruin a Run?
The official planned-ending list includes an All Together / poly ending. That does not make it available now, and it also does not support a blanket rule that interacting with both rivals is always a mistake.
For a current scene comparison, preserve the save at the actual choice and note what changed after each option. Avoid assuming that every line contributes to a hidden route score: a dialogue variation and a completed character route are different things.
Is Harlequin Appearing in the Bedroom a Bug?
The December 9, 2025 bug-fix post distinguishes two cases: a wrong appearance on one route was fixed, while his appearance in the bedroom on some other routes was intentional. His presence in that scene alone therefore does not prove that your run is broken or that a complete ending has unlocked. If you report it, include the preceding choice and build version.
What the Latest Day 3 Post Confirms
The October 16 post says that one part of a beta is finished and that another choice path and player-name entry remain before testing. It does not announce that Harlequin’s ending is playable, or identify the unfinished path as his route.
The beta’s stated 30%–40% coverage is a portion of the planned update, not an overall completion percentage or a release countdown. The Day 3 tracker keeps these development reports separate from public release announcements.
Preserve Your Replay Progress
Keep separate saves for alternatives you want to compare. Before changing browsers or clearing storage, look for Ren’Py’s Export saves menu entry and download a backup if available. Opening the game on the official page may use different browser storage, so do not assume your existing saves will appear there automatically.
